Who Is Ayoub Zinani? The Real Story Behind Fikrago
Written by Ayoub Zinani, Founder of Fikrago
My Etsy shop got suspended with almost no warning. No real explanation I could act on, no appeal that went anywhere useful. Just gone — the small income stream I'd built, shut off overnight. I remember staring at the screen thinking: I don't want to build something again that someone else can just switch off.
That moment is the actual reason Fikrago exists.
Starting with nothing technical
I'm based in Casablanca, Morocco. I didn't come into this with a computer science degree or a development background. What I had was stubbornness and a laptop, and eventually, AI tools that let me build things I had no business being able to build on my own — websites, no-code apps, chatbots, digital products. I've since picked up Google certifications in AI Essentials, Digital Marketing & E-commerce, and Cybersecurity, but that came after the building started, not before. I learned by doing it wrong first.
That's not a humble-brag. It's the actual sequence. I built broken things before I built working things. Some of the tools I shipped early on were rough enough that I wouldn't show them to anyone today. I kept them up anyway, kept iterating, because the alternative was going back to depending on a platform that could suspend me without explanation again.
What Fikrago actually is
Fikrago isn't trying to be everything. It's built around one thing: AI for online business. That means teaching people how to use AI to build websites, automate work, create digital products, and grow something that's actually theirs — not rented space on someone else's platform.
I write real case studies here, not theory. What actually happened when I built a chatbot for a business client. What my own traffic data really shows once you strip out the bot noise. What broke in my site's SEO and how I found it. I'd rather publish something true and slightly unglamorous than something polished and empty.
Why I put my face and name on this
A lot of blogs in this space are anonymous, or run by a "team" that doesn't really exist, or written entirely by AI with a stock photo up top. I get why — it's easier, it's faster, it protects you from ever being wrong in public.
I don't do that here. Every article has my name on it because I want you to know a real person built this, made real mistakes doing it, and is still doing it. If you message me, I'm the one answering.
What I actually do now
Outside of writing, I build and sell digital products — prompt packs, guides, tools — and I take on real client work: building websites, building chatbots for businesses that are tired of answering the same questions over and over, and managing social media for brands that don't have time to do it themselves. Fikrago's blog is where I document that process honestly, mistakes included.
If you're trying to figure out whether AI can actually help your business, or you're thinking about building something of your own the way I did, this is where I write about all of it — in public, under my real name.
If you want to work together or just talk about what you're building, reach out directly. I read and answer every message myself.
